1785: Kiir suspends Doha trip after advance team tests positive for COVID-19

<div>President Salva Kiir’s visit to Qatar has been postponed after members of his advanced team tested positive for Covid-19 on arrival in the capital, Doha on Monday. </div> <div>  </div> <div>The advance delegation comprising of South Sudan ministers and top officials in the Office of the president is now in quarantine in Qatar.<br> <br> This would have been Kiir’s first visit to Qatar since South Sudan’s independence in 2011.<br>  </div> <div>Presidential Spokesperson Ateny Wek Ateny says that the public will be notified of a new date for the visit. <br> <br> Ateny spoke to Radio Miraya in this 2" interview.  </div>
