1761: South Sudan among African countries to suffer cut in COVID-19 vaccine supply

<div>The World Health Organization has announced that the COVAX facility will be cutting vaccine supply to several countries in Africa, including South Sudan, because only 15 countries on the continent have reached the global target of vaccinating at least 10% of their population by the end of September. The World Health Assembly set the benchmark in May this year, as part of a push for every country to vaccinate at least 40 percent of its people by the end of 2021. According to the UN World health Organization, only about 1.3% of South Sudanese adults have received at least one dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
