168 persons displaced by Sango police barracks building collapse – NEMA

<p>Contacted, the spokesman of the state police command, Okasanmi Ajayi, said “no incident of that nature had been reported.</p>, <p>The block of flats according to sources collapsed yesterday evening.</p>, <p>“The Zonal Coordinator Swiftly activated the Federal and State Fire Service and other response Agencies to the scene of incident. The ZC coordinated the rescue operation and the evacuation of the building and the surrounding buildings”.</p>, <p>Three others injured in the attack according to DAILY POST source, who confided in our correspondent in Ilorin on Sunday.</p>, <p>Incidentally, the victim could not be confirmed as a member of the cultists groups at the time of this report but was killed in the attack.</p>, <p>NEMA has, however, said that no fewer than one hundred and sixty eight persons have been displaced as a result of the incident.</p>, <p>South West Zonal Coordinator of NEMA, Mr Saheed Akiode made this disclosure via a statement made available to DAILY POST.</p>, <p>Akiode said, “Over 168 persons displaced. The operation was successful evacuation activities is still ongoing.
