159. The Care Doctor: Rhett Brown, MD (Part II)

Please see <a href= "https://rxforsuccesspodcast.com/158">https://rxforsuccesspodcast.com/158</a> for Part I.</em></p> <p><em>The CE experience for this</em> <em>Podcast</em><em> is powered by CMEfy - click here to reflect and earn credits: </em><a href= "https://earnc.me/hw7FWr">https://earnc.me/hw7FWr</a></p> <p dir="ltr">Rhett Brown, MD, is a family physician recently completing his 30th year in practice in Charlotte NC.  A native of Charlotte he earned a BA in Economics at Davidson College and completed medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina.  In 1992 he completed his residency in family medicine at Atrium Health where he was elected chief resident.</p> <p dir="ltr">Dr. Brown served as the President of the North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians in 2016.  He was selected as among top physicians in Charlotte by Charlotte Magazine in 2010, 2011 and 2013.  He was recognized a physician of the year for Charlotte by Creative Loafing in 2015 and received the inaugural Legacy Award from Charlotte Pride in 2016.  He was recognized as one of the top 100 physicians in NC in 2021 and 2022.  In 2020 he was recognized as Health Equity Physician of the Year for Charlotte NC. </p> <p dir="ltr">He is a certified by WAPTH (World Association for Providers of Transgender Health) and was a founding member of Charlotte Transgender Health Care Group in 2012 and earned certification in Diversity, Inclusion and Equity from eCornell University in 2021.</p> <p dir="ltr">He serves a diverse population of patients from birth through the end of life with a focus on care for members of the LGBTQ+ community.</p> <p dir="ltr">He recently opened his own practice in December 2021, Avance Care Midtown.</p> <p><img src= "//assets.libsyn.com/show/187244/d2d-logo_V1_blue_CodeBold.png" alt="" width="536" height="145" /></p> <p>Today's Episode is brought to you by <a href= "https://rxforsuccesspodcast.com/doc2doc" target="_blank" rel= "noopener"><strong>Doc2Doc L
