138: Chasing times past - with Mark Wightman

It's the second instalment of the Betancourt series set in Singapore in 1940. Mark's first novel, <a href="https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B091DMDR4M" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong><em>Waking the Tiger</em></strong></a><em> </em>was hugely successful, securing shortlistings for four major prizes. It's been two years between the publication of the two books, and Mark explains how that's in part down to the level of research needed to recreate the historical setting accurately.
