021: You Can Be Anything – With Solange Che

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">African immigrants have contributed significantly to the growth and diversity of the overall Black population in the United States. As an immigrant, I know how hard it is for someone to come to the United States with nothing but a dream and work hard to see their dreams come to pass.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The story of Solange Che is that of challenging oneself to become their best version. To quote Solange  – “failure is a state of mind that if not handled with care can destroy one's personality. It took acceptance, goal setting, revamping my self-confidence, sacrifice, resilience, and vulnerability to come to the realization that I can start all over again and be my best version.”</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Join us on this episode as she takes us through all the turns in her life journey – from her upbringing to education, traveling to Germany for her master's in linguistics, having a baby unplanned, moving to the United States, and how she was able to turn around her life (with the help of God Almighty) to become her best version. She did her Bachelor's and Masters in Linguistics at the University of Buea in Cameroon and later had a scholarship to study applied linguistics at the University of Cologne in Germany. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">She is a mother, a linguist and Salesforce consultant by profession, and a podcaster.
