013 - Palm Sunday: A Humble King

In this Palm Sunday sermon, we'll see Jesus ride into Jerusalem on a donkey while receiving exclamations of "Save us!" from the crowds. His way of salvation, though, is not what many people were expecting. When given the choice between Jesus and Barabbas (an insurrectionist), the people choose Barabbas as the one who more fully represents their ideals. The way of God's kingdom, though, is most fully embodied in Jesus - and therefore his kingdom advances when his people embody his life in their own.
