Transfer: Details of Arsenal’s loan deal for David Raya revealed

<p>Brentford goalkeeper, David Raya, is set to join Arsenal on a one-year loan deal.</p>, <p>The Athletic reports that the Spaniard will cost the Gunners a £3m loan fee.</p>, <p>Arsenal will then have an option to buy Raya for £27m next summer.</p>, <p>Raya has also signed a one-year contract extension with Brentford.</p>, <p>If Arsenal don’t take up that option next summer, the Bees are protected because they have extended Raya’s contract by a further season.</p>, <p>Hence, they will still be able to get a transfer fee next summer.</p>, <p>Raya, who will provide competition for Aaron Ramsdale at the Emirates, is scheduled to have his medical on Thursday.</p>, <p>If everything goes to plan, he will be in the squad to face Nottingham Forest on Saturday.</p>
