The Philosophy of Love: the Past, Presence, and Future of the Alevis

Welcome back to the ACTTAI podcast!  Today we discussed the origins and characteristics of the Alevis minority group. I compared their doctrines and principles to those of the Sunnis. I also talked about the discrimination the Alevis faced in Turkey and their effort to request equality.  Listen to my thoughts/conclusions on the future of the Alevis at 22:13 :)))  --I believed that Alevism plays a huge role in the EU-Turkey relationship and in eliminating Western misconceptions toward Islam. Even in countries that are not very religious (China for instance), people should know more about religion.
