<p>The number one reason we struggle with discipline [What’s the POA?] | RISE Macclesfield | Group Personal Training gym weight loss programmes</p> <p><br></p> <p>We're on a mission to help one million people RISE by 2030 - join the movement at <a href="http://www.myrise.co.uk/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.myrise.co.uk</a></p> <p><br></p> <p>Have you ever thought “I need to be more disciplined” with something?</p> <p>I assume we all have.</p> <p>I know I have.</p> <p>Do you know what, from my experience (cough ** nearly 20 years in the game, two times Top 6 at the National Fitness Awards, 13 consecutive months as #1 PT in the UK on Club Training, 5 straight years as #1 facility in the UK on FreeIndex and #1 in Cheshire on Google, Facebook and more and hundreds of verified success stories ** cough) is the number one reason we struggle with discipline?</p> <p>We haven’t created a plan to be disciplined to.</p> <p>Not a real plan.</p> <p>When we set a vague intention we have nothing to measure against.</p> <p>Nothing to be disciplined too.</p> <p>“Eat better”.</p> <p>“Cut out the crap”.</p> <p>“Drink less”.</p> <p>“Exercise more”.</p> <p>“Worry less”.</p> <p>“Get up earlier”.</p> <p>“Get more sleep”.</p> <p>“Be less bothered about what people think about me”.</p> <p>“Don’t work so many hours”.</p> <p>And so on……………</p> <p>All worthy intents.</p> <p>All doomed to failure if our past experiences have taught us anything.</p> <p>When we don’t really know if we’re succeeding or not, we’re left with our feelings.</p> <p>And our feelings will tell us we’re failing.</p> <p>When we have a more concrete plan we have something to measure against.</p> <p>To build confidence and momentum.</p> <p>Or to learn from and re-evaluate.</p> <p>As always, no right or wrong.</p> <p>If vague definitions work for us, that’s awesome.</p> <p>But if they did we wouldn’t be saying we needed to be more disciplined, would we?</p> <p>Something more concrete (frequencies, times, locations, logistics, etc) might just be something that we can
