Of rivals in love, of beauty in nature, and of terror in folklore.</p><br><p>Proudly presenting "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" by Washington Irving, as written in 1819.</p><br><p>I first watched the Disney adaptation of this story as a young child, and I remember it as one of the scariest cartoon films I had seen up to that point. I admit that I went in to reading this story with some of that same childlike fear and trepidation.
