Saratoga Lakeview Mobile Home Park - A Follow Up With Angela Kaufman

HMM speaks with Angela Kaufman, a resident of Lakeview Mobile Home Park, she has been served with been served with an eviction letter from the park owner. Back in 2021 when Mr. Giovanone purchased the park the residents feared that the landlord wish of expanding his boat storage would put their homes at risk and they will be displaced. The landlord stated that he was not going to change the use of the park. Angela has been a spoke person about changes in the park, changes in the lease, etc. Now she faces an eviction process which she feels is the landlord's way to get away with the portion of the the law where he is supposed to provide a stipend for residents who are displaced only when a park closes. If people are driven out early, the landlord is not responsible to help with the process. Angela spoke about one of the families in the park also lost their roof of their mobile home, the families are trying to assist this family is facing uncertainty.
