Today we will be stuck between cut-of low over the Mississippi River slowly drifting to the northeast and advancing trough out west. East and northeast flow behind exiting Mississippi River low will advect morning fog and moisture into places along and east Highway 83, elsewhere skies will begin clear, and sunshine will return to the east allowing afternoon temps to reach into the low 80’s with overnight lows around 50. Tomorrow upper-level ridging turns winds turn back to the west and southwest warming temperatures further into the mid-80’s to near record levels for early October. Saturday will still warm into the 80’s as upper-level ridge moves eastward ahead of an advancing trough and cold front coming over the Rockies and through the area Saturday night and Sunday with cooler more seasonal temperatures and some chances for lighter scattered showers and maybe an isolated t-storm. Monday temps rebound back into 70’s as one trough moves off to the northeast and another stronger main trough starts advancing into the Rockies from the west
