Giants Against You | Deliver Us: From the Lord Comes Deliverance

1 Samuel 17:32-50 | Goliath was someone and something David and Israel had never seen. He was one of the original bullies. He was bigger, stronger, more brazen, and more dangerous. None could face him because his size and strength intimidated them all. But when David arrived, he first heard about Goliath with fresh ears. As he did, something stirred in his soul. God grabbed David’s heart and the battle began before he ever saw his opponent. The others were afraid in their own strength. But David saw through the eyes of faith. He had been prepared for that moment. He ran toward the giant because his faith gave him strength. The giants are the bullies of faith. They intimidate and evoke fear. Bigger and stronger, they leave us only two real choices. Surrender in defeat, or trust God to deliver. When the giants come, the issue is our faith not our strength.
