<p>Dr. Bob Fu's talk at the Basilica of Saint Mary's 2020 Saints Peter and Paul Conference. The topic of the conference was "Christian Persecution Is Real." Fu is the Founder and President of China Aid, an international NGO with a mission to advance religious freedom in China. Fu was a campus student leader during the Tiananmen Square democracy movement in 1989. He was tortured in a Chinese prison for his faith. Recorded on September 12, 2020.</p> <p><em>Founded in 1795, the Basilica of Saint Mary in Old Town Alexandria is the first Catholic parish established in Virginia. Pope Francis named the church a minor basilica on December 6, 2017 due to its important role in the growth of the Catholic Church in North America.</em></p>
