Communities In Bloom Judges Praise Ennis For Embrace Of Sustainability

The chair of Ennis Tidy Towns says the town has put its best foot forward in the Communities in Bloom competition. Ennis has been chosen as the Irish representative for the international competition, competing against Brooks Regional Alberta in Canada and Monfalcone in Italy. The goal of the competition is "to inspire all communities to enhance the quality of life and our environment through people and plants in order to create community pride" and the results will be released between September 27th and October 1st. Ennis Tidy Towns Chair Cormac McCarthy says every effort was made to make the town as appealing as possible throughout the adjudication process over the last few days.
