Clare Gaeilgeoir Urges Governrment To Support Irish Language In Budget

A Clare Gaeilgeoir is urging the government to support Irish language enterprise in the budget. A new Irish Language and Gaeltacht Growth Plan has been launched that aims to create 9,000 more jobs by the end of the decade. 130 Irish language organisations are backing An Plean Fáis which is seeking a 35.7 million euro increase spending on the Irish language in the upcoming budget. Clare FM presenter of Cúl Caint, Dónal Ó'Lionsigh, believes the Irish language need more support from the government instead of depending of the education system.
