Changing Times Ag WX; Warm & Dry Start To March; Colder Next Week With Suttle Pattern Shift to End the Month & Start April

<p>An expanding ridge over the Western US building eastward will be the dominant weather feature with unseasonably warm and dry weather until a trough and series of disturbances come over the Rockies and across the Plains Friday night and over the weekend.  Today down-slope westerly flow will warm daytime temps to near record readings in the mid to upper 70’s.  Tomorrow, a weak cool front backs into the NE/KS state line, but we still warm in the upper 60’s with some high clouds north of the border and lower 70’s south.  Friday will again warm into the mid-70’s ahead of the first low-pressure and cold front moving across the region overnight.  The current forecasted track of this disturbance would have the Tri-state area in the dry slot and snow chances just to our north and west and rain chances to the north and east Saturday with colder temps. Sunday a second wave of energy move through the Southern Plains with colder air and chance for rain and snow mostly south of us.    </p>
