Changing Times Ag Wx; La Nina Official w/Short Duration; Drought & Winter Wheat Crop Concerns Heading Into 2022

<p>Today an upper-level trough and cold front will briefly usher in overcasts skies, gusty north winds, and colder temperatures.  Daytime temps will be in the mid to upper 40’s with north winds 15 to 30 mph.  Overnight skies will clear, and winds diminish dropping lows into the upper teens. Tomorrow, for Thanksgiving the trough moves eastward over the Great Lakes region, while northwest flow prevails over the Great Plains and a ridge builds out west.  Friday and over the weekend west and northwest flow prevails returning daytime temps back into the 60’s, overnight lows 30-35-degrees and extending moderate to severe drought and fire weather conditions to the end of the month and into December.  </p>
