Changing Times Ag WX; Another Round of Summer Heat & Dryness Even Though It‘s Meterlogical Fall; No Signs of Breaking Drought Conditions

<p>Today we will be under northwest flow aloft and through the rest of the week a ridge of high pressure moves over the High Plains region leading to dryness increasing the moderate to severe drought conditions that have been hanging around since June.  We will see hot daytime temps back into the 90’s and trying to reach that 100-degrees for one last time on Friday.  With some increased southerly surface winds near critical fire weather conditions are expected along and west of KS Highway 27.   Saturday a cool front will move through sometime later in the day with gusty northwest wind blowing dust because of it being so dry and upper-level flow becomes more zonal and westerly over the Rockies Sunday and Monday.  </p>
