Can You Just Cut Me Some Slack? - Audio

Have you ever wanted someone to just cut you some slack? The saying comes from having tension on a rope and the tension may be too tight to get the rope tied, or untied. Or another way to look at it is that you have a rope on a boat at the dock and in order to get the rope off of the dock cleat, you need some slack in the rope to make it loose so you can remove the rope. That is slack. Bet you need some slack in your life too sometimes. It is like, I know I didn’t do what I agreed to do or I let this slide when I should have dealt with it, but can you give me a little grace (the church word for slack). I should have made my bed every day and picked up all my clothes……but I have been busy (what I would say to my mother). Can I get a little slack? We all need some slack…..or grace…..or forgiveness at times. This examines some examples in the bible where some people got cut some slack. I know that I have seen myself in these examples. We will also look at some scripture that specifically addresses getting some slack….and giving some slack. The bottom line on it is that if you want to get some, you have to give some…..slack, grace, forgiveness. I hope this helps you learn how.
