Our goal is to return and connect citizens to the right services and resources needed to be successful in making positive contributions to their communities. We want returning citizens to know that we are here for them and that their input matters. She is the bandleader for the group Jazz Xpressions feat. Lydia Salett Dudley. She received her Graduate degree in jazz composition from North Carolina Central University. In 2011 her passion for music education eventually led her to start The Salett Art Center, Inc., a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide music enrichment for underserved youth. She has performed on many occasions. Her most memorable performance was the opportunity to perform at the childhood home of Nina Simone in Tryon, NC, which was declared a National Treasure in 2018. She received a female-led bandleader grant from Chamber Music America in 2021 and plans to release her project “Rise Up” in January 2023.
