73. Christopher Habig and the Future of the US Direct Primary Care (DPC) Industry

However, as he shadowed doctors in hospital systems, he noticed their dissatisfaction. This led him to trailblaze the Direct Primary Care (DPC) industry. Since 2016, his companies have launched and supported 130 DPC practices across 37 states in the US. After launch, clients have the option of becoming an employee, owning their own business with full assistance, or having an entirely independent practice.</p> <p>Chris and I discuss the Concierge/DPC business model. He explains how DPC allows physicians to make twice as much money while seeing fewer patients, leading to a better work-life balance. He also gives the benefits of DPC for rural healthcare and the potential for specialists to adopt this model.
