6. Find Joy In What You Do. Or Do Something You Find Joy In..

<p>Simple concept, but so many of us ignore it. I've been lucky most of my jobs that I've had, even the ones that are fairly mundane or routine or didn't really fill me with growth or fulfilment or contentment, or I didn't really enjoy, I still managed to find silver linings.</p> <p>I still managed to find joy in a lot of those jobs. It was mainly through social connections, making friends, bringing energy, looking at it as something fun, something to enjoy something to be appreciated, rather than something to be dreaded.</p> <p>So in most of the jobs I've had, I've managed to find some form of joy that would at least help you get through the day if it was a particularly mundane job or mundane role. They didn't really like but you'll still enjoy social connections a bit of banter, a few jokes with friends, a connection. If you made friends with a few people, you'd see them again and again, that made a big pause by a lot, a lot a lot more quickly, a lot of simpler. So it is possible.</p> <p>But having said that, if you are not able to do that then it is really important to find something that will bring you joy. And that's a very personal, personal choice. So that could be something like art is always something creative. It can be something working with people it can be helping people grow you can become a teacher you become an it could be a giving person you can become a nurse, you can become a doctor, you may enjoy working on your own as a driver.</p> <p>We all have our own different thermometers, and our own different value systems about what really really brings us joy. It can be working with nature as a gardener or landscaper or as a tree surgeon. So it's up to you if you can't find happiness or joy in what you're doing. And if it's really that bad. I remember once I was working for an auctioneer or an estate agent, and I really, really couldn't stand cold calling. I just it just no matter how much I tried. I was awful at it. But I was awful at it because I didn't enjoy it. I just found it very sleazy and che
