21.23: Is Jesus the Hero of Your Story and Are You Bold Enough to Tell It?

<p>We last left the Apostle Paul in Caesarea having appeared before the &nbsp;Roman governor, Felix. He spent 2 years there. Hopefully, Felix and &nbsp;others converted. We’ll never know. Now, there’s a new governor, Festus, &nbsp;whose headquarters is Caesarea. So, Paul has to appear in front of him. &nbsp;Here in Acts 25 and 26, Paul is questioned by Festus and the Jewish &nbsp;King Herod Agrippa. King Agrippa is the last of the Herodian kings. His &nbsp;father was <a href="https://giselleaguiar.com/2020/12/28/we-walked-where-jesus-walked-will-you-follow-him-to-the-cross/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">the King Herod who tried Jesus</a>, and died a rather gruesome death in <a href="https://giselleaguiar.com/2021/01/12/peters-great-amazing-escape-from-prison-helped-by-a-churchs-prayers/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Acts 12</a>. His grandfather was Herod the Great who had all the babies killed in Bethlehem <a href="https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+2&amp;version=NLT" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">when Jesus was born thinking he’d be killing the “King of the Jews</a>“.</p> <p>Here the Book of Acts gets even more dramatic as the Jewish religious &nbsp;leaders hate Paul so much that they conspire to kill him. Yet, Jesus &nbsp;uses the situation to keep preaching the gospel. That’s boldness.</p> <p>Paul gets to tell his conversion story yet again to a new group of people. It differs slightly from <a href="https://giselleaguiar.com/2021/01/09/only-jesus-can-radically-change-your-life-for-the-better-are-you-ready/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Acts 9</a> and <a href="https://giselleaguiar.com/2021/01/21/how-to-take-your-commitment-to-jesus-seriously-into-the-unknown/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">Acts 22</a>. (You might want to go back and compare them.) But, Jesus is always the hero of his story.</p> <p>Let’s read through both chapters, then we’ll go over some points to ponder.
