10-26-23 The Steele's Jevetta Steele talks about The Get Out show at the Minnesota Orchestra with Glen Golden on the mid day show

<p>On Friday, October 27, at 7 p.m., the Minnesota Orchestra will perform the original<br>soundtrack of the Academy Award-winning film Get Out while the film plays on a screen<br>above the stage. The concert will take place at Orchestra Hall in downtown Minneapolis<br>and there are a limited number of tickets remaining;<br> American composer Michael Abels created the soundtrack for Get Out, which earned the<br>2018 Black Reel Award for Outstanding Original Score. Abels describes the score as<br>“gospel horror.” Accompanying the Orchestra will be the sibling vocalist group The<br>Steeles, who will perform the vocal portion of Abels’ score, including the main title,<br>Sikiliza Kwa Wahenga (Swahili for “listen to the ancestors”); and<br>The Steeles have collaborated many times with the Minnesota Orchestra: in 2016, they<br>performed a tribute to Prince at the Minnesota Vikings’ first-ever game at U.S. Bank<br>Stadium; they also collaborated with the Orchestra and trumpeter Charles Lazarus for a<br>program titled Our Love Is Here to Stay; earlier in 2023, Jevetta Steele performed in the<br>Orchestra’s first-ever Juneteenth concert.</p>
