Warmer & Dry Conditions Through the Weekend & Monday; Tue-Thu Storm System Darting By; Quiet Start to April

<p>Today a shortwave moving through the Dakotas will push a front and cooler airmass over the area with highs in the mid to upper 50’s.  Tomorrow and Sunday the ridge to our west amplifies and shifts eastward over the area Monday ahead of a trough and low-pressure move into the west Coast.  High temps will warm into the 70’s and 80’s on Monday and lows in the upper 30’s and 40’s with winds turning to a southerly direction.   Tuesday the trough trails a cold front over the area and the low-pressure is now forecast to move over the CO/KS/NE line northeast to Minnesota Tuesday might through Thursday morning.  This will increase clouds, bring gust north winds and colder temps and chances for some scattered rain showers and snow showers.  Current track would be drier and more scattered with heavier precipitation north and east of us again. </p>
