New whiskey, The Irishman was launched in St Canice’s Cathedral Kilkenny. The launch was in partnership with Walsh Whiskey and The Kilkenny Whiskey Guild The whiskey honours the (almost) 700 year history of whiskey distillation in Kilkenny which dates back to The Red Book of Ossory in 1324. This is the oldest record of whiskey distillation anywhere in the world! KCLR's Eddie Hughes was at the event
