Sixmilebridge Businesswoman Claims "Huge Element" Of Insurance Fraud Taking Place

A Sixmilebridge businesswoman claims a "huge element" of insurance fraud is taking place in Clare businesses. It comes as the Alliance for Insurance Reform launches its Enough is Enough campaign to mark the commencement of legislation rebalancing the duty of care between occupiers and the public. The new legislation sees occupiers' duty of care responsibilities balanced with personal responsibilities, including those of consumers, visitors and recreational user. Managing Director of Crowes' Supermarkets, Flora Crowe, says while occupiers are responsible for ensuring their premises is safe, the new legislation protects business owners from unjustified claims.
