Republic of Ireland and Peamount United star Della Doherty

<p>We’re back with the latest instalment of the LaoisToday Talking Sport Podcast.</p> <p>Host Alan Hartnett is in the hot seat once again and he has a very special guest for this early May Bank Holiday Weekend edition. </p> <p>One of Laois's most exciting up and coming sports stars joins the Podcast this week - Della Doherty. </p> <p>The Portarlington teenager is just 17 and she has already risen to the highest level of women's soccer in Ireland. </p> <p>Having both being capped and captained the Republic of Ireland at youth level, Doherty has been at the heart of the Peamount United defence this season. </p> <p>The reigning league and cup champions currently sit top of the Women's National Football League with a 100% record thus far. </p> <p>Della chats to us about her journey thus far, playing in an All-Ireland final with Laois in Ladies Football and balancing it all with the Leaving Cert in Colaiste Iosagain. </p>
