When the government in the UK began serious investigations into the curriculum of many Islamic schools, the results were frightening. Books advocating the _stoning of women_ (https://www.telegraph.co.uk/education/2018/01/16/islamic-primary-school-had-books-written-banned-extremist-ofsted/) were but one small example of a much larger problem. In addition, _lashing and execution_ (https://www.telegraph.co.uk/education/2018/01/16/islamic-primary-school-had-books-written-banned-extremist-ofsted/) were advocated in book used in a variety of schools. Other books available to children included _The Ideal Muslim_ by Dr Muhammad Ali Al-Hashimi, which advocates parents hitting children if they do not pray by the age of 10. Should we allow our public school systems to regress and import a 6th Century Salafist interpretation of Islam that forces girls to the back of the room while only boys are allowed to spread?
