Meet the new housing tax break, same as the old tax break

Feb. 3, 2022 - Gov. Kathy Hochul is looking to tweak a tax incentivize for the creation of affordable housing in New York City, but the proposal falls short of generating a meaningful increase in the supply of housing for low-income New Yorkers, according to Ellen Davidson, housing staff attorney for the Legal Aid Society.
