Gospel of Mark - Mark 13:30-37 - Prog 65

<p><br>We will finish up chapter 13 with verses 30-37. </p><p> What stands out in this passage is the fact of the abiding Word of God. Jesus said, the heavens and the earth will pass away but, He said, ‘My words will not pass away.’ God’s Word will endure for all eternity. </p><p> Ps.119 says, “Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.” </p><p> Our Lord gives everyone a command to Be alert. As Dr. Mitchell says, The coming of the Lord is certain but the time of His coming is uncertain. </p><p> The need to be on the alert is emphasized by the Lord to His disciples by means of parable. This parable pictures a man going away and the servants of his house and the door keeper are to be watching for his return. </p><p> Here is Dr. Mitchell. Mark 13:30.
