Ashburn Turner was born in Franklin, Virginia to the late Thomas Ashburn and Dorothy Ashburn. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1991 and attended Norfolk State University and Paul D. Camp Community College. She is now author Dorita Ashburn with her hot new book, <strong>“WHEN BECOMING WHOLE BROKE ME”</strong>. In this Amazon book, the author shares her journey from brokenness to wholeness. She says that the roads in her life have been filled with curves, sharp turns, bumps, and danger. She has competed in the Paralympics, the X Games and has become one of the most inspirational voices of a generation. Born in Pak Chong, Thailand, Sesser was found on the steps of a Buddhist temple at just three weeks old. Wrapped in a pink blanket and without legs, Sesser was brought to a local hospital where she lived until entering foster care in Bangkok. At five years old, she was adopted by an American couple and has lived in the States ever since. Today, rather than a wheelchair, you are more likely to see her with a skateboard. Sesser has been shattering expectations for her whole life. Bursting with energy and an invincible attitude, nothing will stop her from achieving her ambitious goals. As a child, Sesser started skateboarding, surfing, mono skiing, wheelchair rugby, basketball, hiking, swimming and more. If adrenaline, high action and fun are involved, so is Sesser!
