<p>Dr. Vito Tanzi was a Professor and Economic Chair at American University, director for over 20 years of the Fiscal Affairs Department at the International Monetary Fund, and Undersecretary for Economy and Finance in the Italian Government. He is the honorary President of the International Institute of Public Finance (IIPF) in Munich, Germany. Holding a Ph.D. from Harvard University, his latest book is titled Fragile Futures: The Uncertain Economics of Disasters, Pandemics, and Climate Change. </p>
