Ennis Municipal District Meeting Sparks Debate Over Aspects Of Ennis 2040 Project

On Wednesday's Morning Focus, Peter O' Connell spoke to Clare Colleran Molloy who is the Mayor of Ennis. Clare dismissed reports that the cost of building a temporary car park in Francis Street will reach one million euro. She highlighted the value of the Ennis 2040 plan to the county town and stated that Ennis must have a positive vision going forward. She also committed to reassuring retailers in the area regarding the plan and insisted that this will have an overall positive effect on the area. Alan spoke to Councillor Johnny Flynn who is a Fine Gael Councillor from Ennis. Johnny discussed the motion he brought forward at the Ennis Municipal District meeting along with Councillors Tom Callaghan and Pat Daly. He described the motion which called on members of the Ennis 2040 project to 'rethink it's plans'. He also highlighted his disappointment with the loss of their proposal.
