Council Encourages Visitors To Clare Beaches Not To Litter Over Bank Holiday Weekend

Clare County Council has asked people travelling to Clare's beaches this weekend to avoid leaving litter behind. Concerns have been raised that due to the influx of people to the beaches over the bank holiday weekend, bins could potentially overflow. Visitors are encouraged to dispose of rubbish in bins where possible or alternatively to take their rubbish home with them. Clare County Council's Environmental Awareness Officer Karen Foley says it is vital that people leave no trace of themselves after they have visited beaches.
