Cloudy Cold Today; Sunny Warmer Fri-Mon; Potential for Arctic Cold Outbreak & Snow Feb 1-5

<p>Today, an approaching trough will increase clouds and maybe squeeze out some light snow or flurries west Highway 27.  Also, a reinforcing shot of cold air, and breezy north winds will result in colder daytime temps in the 20’s to around 30 with lows dropping to around 10-degrees.  A large upper-level ridge starts building out west and working toward the Rockies Friday and Saturday resulting in northwest flow and warmer temps. Snow on the ground will hold back the warm-up, but daytime high should reach into the 40’s.  Then Sunday and Monday high-pressure over the area will boost warm-up to around 50-degrees.  </p>
