Clare Car Sales Dip Below 2022 Levels For First Time

Fewer electric cars were sold in Clare in October than in any other month this year. New figures from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry reveal that just nine electric vehicles were purchased here last month which represents a drop of almost 50% on last October's 17. However, electric vehicle sales in this county have seen a surge of just under 74% since last year with 421 sold so far this year compared to 242 last year. SIMI Director General Brian Cooke insists electric cars now make up an impressive portion of overall sales nationwide.
