Awoniyi out of Super Eagles friendlies against Saudi Arabia, Mozambique

<p>Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi will play no part in Nigeria’s upcoming friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique due to injury.</p>, <p>Awoniyi suffered a groin injury in training with his club this week which could see him sidelined for up to a month.</p>, <p>Forest manager Steve Cooper confirmed the forward’s injury ahead of his side’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday.</p>, <p>The 26-year-old, who joined the Tricky Trees from Bundesliga side, Union Berlin, last summer, has evolved into a key figure at the club.</p>, <p>Awoniyi scored in all three of Forest’s opening Premier League matches this season.</p>, <p>Nigeria has friendlies lined up against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique, on October 13 and October 16, respectively.</p>
