The government is due to publish their roadmap for the further easing of restrictions on August 31st. However, the Taoiseach has indicated that there will be no further easing of restrictions until the end of September to allow for the successful reopening of schools and colleges. As the country prepares to send thousands back into schools, how likely is it that the Delta variant will take hold in households across the country? What risk are children and teens at from the virus and how likely is transmission from students to their communities?
