Antony dropped from Brazil squad over allegations of domestic violence

<p>Manchester United forward, Antony, has been dropped from the Brazil squad for their World Cup qualifying fixtures.</p>, <p>This comes after fresh allegations made by by his ex-girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin, were published by UOL in his native country.</p>, <p>In June, Antony released a statement insisting he had been falsely accused by Ms Cavallin of domestic violence.</p>, <p>On Monday, the player said he “trusts ongoing police investigations” to reveal the “truth about my innocence”.</p>, <p>Manchester United are yet to comment on the new allegations.</p>, <p>However, Brazil has taken the decision to replace Antony with Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus.</p>, <p>The Selecao will take on Bolivia and Peru this month.</p>
