ADOH RADIO PRESENTS EPISODE 132: FEATURING VICTORY BOYD WITH HER NEW SINGLE, “JUST LIKE IN HEAVEN”

She took the opportunity seriously and grew as a vocalist in the family choir, arranging hymns and creating new songs in harmony with her siblings. After migrating to New York City, the family performed free concerts for the public at the Bethesda Fountain and Arcade in Central Park for a decade. During this period, Victory learned to play the guitar and wrote music, sometimes performing solo in Central Park. </p> <p>Jeymes Samuel discovered Victory in 2016 and sent a video of her singing in Central Park to Jay-Z, who signed Victory and her family. In 2017, Victory released her debut EP &quot;It&#39;s a New Dawn,&quot; featuring her version of Nina Simone&#39;s &quot;Feeling Good&quot; and original songs such as &quot;Believe In Love,&quot; &quot;Lessons From My Father,&quot; and &quot;Cheap Love.&quot; In 2019, Victory won her first Grammy® for her contribution as the primary lyricist of Kanye West&#39;s songs &quot;Closed On Sunday&quot; and &quot;God Is,&quot; which featured Christ-centered lyrics. Her work on the album &quot;Jesus Is King&quot; was recognized for this prestigious award. </p> <p>During an interview with Hope Sheree, the host of A Dose of Hope Radio, Victory shared that her recent collaborations with Kanye West and some challenging experiences since 2020 have led her to a divine calling.
