<p>For our 99th episode we are joined by Broadway and television actor Carman Lacivita who talks all about his current role in the world premiere Off-Broadway production of “To My Girls”, a hilarious new play about a group of gay friends reuniting for a vacation in Palm Springs in a post-COVID world. Despite the hilarity, the play touches on a number of sensitive but important topics from queer identity and race to politics and cancel culture.</p> <p><br></p> <p>Carman also chats with us about the misconceptions he uncovered when it comes to his “ethnically ambiguous” appearance, navigating portraying LGBTQ+ stereotypes during auditions and how he’s learned to enter an audition with his best work and not embarrass the casting director who vouched for him.</p> <p><br></p> <p>TO MY GIRLS is in performances until April 24th at Second Stage’s Tony Kiser Theatre in New York City.</p> <p><br></p> <p>Thanks for listening!
