Republican lawmakers are pointing the blame directly on the Biden Administration. In June, Secretary of State Antony Blinken assured Congress that the situation in Afghanistan would not deteriorate rapidly after US troops pulled out of the region. Republican lawmakers say unfortunately that is exactly what happened. Principal in the International Practice at BGR Group, a leading government relations firm in Washington, D.C., Lester Munson, joins to share his thoughts on what is unfolding in Afghanistan right now. Senior Fellow at the Center for Renewing America and Chairman of the Election Transparency Initiative, Ken Cuccinelli, also gives his take on President Biden removing the US troops from Afghanistan and the turmoil that has followed.
