1970: Government imposes taxes on import and export of livestock and livestock products

<div>The Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries has imposed taxes on the importation and exportation of livestock and livestock products.  The fees ranging from between $25-$100 USD covers cattle, sheep, chicken, livestock, fish and fish products.  <br> <br> The Minister of Livestock and Fisheries, Onyoti Adigo Nyikwech says the order intends to curb smuggling, control and combat livestock and fish diseases and protect public health. <br> <br> Onyoti explained what the importer and exporter are expected to comply with, while dealing in livestock and livestock products.<br> <br> He spoke to Radio Miraya in this 40" interview. </div>
