1801: Human rights advocates call for more capacity building of security personnel to uphold people’s rights

<div>On the commemoration of the International Human Rights Day, human rights advocates are calling for more capacity building of security personnel to uphold people’s rights. <br> The Executive Director of the Justice and Human Rights Observatory, says security personnel in South Sudan need to be aware of people’s rights when dealing with them. <br> Meanwhile, Community based organization Defy Hate Now is set to launch an open data portal to enhance access to information as a fundamental right. <br> The document repository is an online archive ideal for journalists, researchers, academia and the general public. <br> An Associate Editor at Deft Hate Now, Emmanuel Bida, says it is the rights of citizens to access information.  <br> The day is observed annually on the 10th of December to raise awareness about people's social, cultural and physical rights and to ensure the welfare of everyone.
