Ariella shares their experiences helping to transform an empty New York City lot into a thriving garden that produces healthy food for poor Black and Brown people. Ariella is an urban farmer, healer and community organizer based in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Their main focus is the issue of food sovereignty and building autonomous systems of community care outside of the settler-colonial government. They believe in the liberation of all colonized and oppressed peoples by any means necessary.
