The 3 children start climbing the huge tree. Soon they can't be seen from the ground. A weird thing they notice as they climb....the tree grows different things. First acorns, then chestnuts....and then cherries! Poor Beth gets more than she bargains for when they peep in at a window. However, they do meet a lovely fairy.
