<p>Today Cynthia features an interview from My Beautiful Lent 2019 with Frederica Mathewes-Green.  They cover a lot of ground, from Frederica’s conversion to Orthodoxy, the services of the church during Lent, and specifically Forgiveness Vespers.  Join them as they talk about a yearning for Christ, and sin as something that pollutes the whole world.</p> <p><img src= "https://assets.libsyn.com/secure/show/106225/image-asset.png" alt= "" width="212" height="289" /></p> <p>Raised in Charleston, South Carolina, Frederica Mathewes-Green received her B.A. in English from the University of South Carolina and her M.A. in Theological Studies from Virginia Episcopal Theological Seminary.</p> <p>Considering herself a Hindu, in 1974 she married Gary Mathewes-Green and set off for a back-packing honeymoon in Europe.
